Dearest Friends,
I WANT TO SEE JESUS
Today, I was telling the story of how Zaccheus climbed into a tree so that he could see Jesus. I said," Suddenly, he looked down the road and he could see Jesus coming toward him." I looked out the window as I said this. Immediately, half of the room stood up and tried to look out the window so that they could see Jesus. God had poured His spirit on the program and the children were so caught up in the story that they expected to see Jesus! It was awesome! We had seen this before, but this was the first time that so many, many children had stood up. We actually had to tell the children that Jesus was not outside so that they would sit down.
ORPHANAGE SHOW UNDER THE TREES
It was the most beautiful day today and we were blessed to do a show out under the trees for 90 children who were mentally handicapped. They were so attentive and thankful for everything that they saw. They laughed and received the flying mouse balloons with such joy. We did the smallest things for them and they were so grateful. When we finished, they stood to pray, calling on Jesus to save them. I expect to see many children from these kinds of orphanages in heaven. They are smarter than so many who trust in their intellect and wealth. Pray for these children to grow strong in their faith.
At 16, they must leave the orphanage for a technical school to learn a trade. The Director admitted to me that some of these children cannot hope to enter such training. I asked what happens to them and he held his hands up and open with a look of hopelessness. The reality is that they have no place to go. Many of them would have families, but parents were never encouraged in the old Communist system to keep mentally handicapped children at home. That system is slow to change.
PLEASE PRAY FOR THESE TWO REMAINING DAYS AS WE SEEK TO SHARE WITH MANY CHILDREN!
In Jesus, Linda for Kim, Gwen, Drew, and Marsha
