Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa
I am so happy to be in Mexico! We had quite the adventure getting here has we boarded the plane three times and deplaned three times. We were stranded in Houston with thousands of other passengers, whose flights had also been cancelled. The airline promised us that they could definitely get us to Zihuatanejo by Friday, which was 5 days later then what we had planned. It seemed hopeless. No matter what happened, the you people who are with me never got frustrated or complained. I was so proud of them!
We are here to work with Guillermo and Jennie Salinas who have been doing work here with puppets for over 15 years. Their son Billy has often traveled with me. While we stood in line in Houston, their family got together and tried to solve our problems. They did an amazing job! We flew into Mexico City, spent the night in a hotel, and flew into Zihuatanejo on a national airline. We arrived this afternoon. Praise God!!!!!
This evening we had the sweet pleasure of meeting with their team . It was a wonderful time of fellowship and we were able to encourage them with stories of other teams. We will partner with this team to plant a new team. We are so blessed and so grateful for your prayers.
