It is with great sadness that we must inform you that Mike Summer died in a automobile accident near Atlanta last Wednesday morning, September 21. Mike will be missed by his wife Linda, his sons, Josh and Matt, their wives, Teresa and Jill and Mike’s grandson George, Highlands Presbyterian Church, and the Agape Puppets ministry more than anyone can imagine. Please pray for Linda and the puppet ministry, as she relied on Mike for so much and he was such an integral part of the ministry. Please also rejoice that Mike is in the arms of the Savior he lived for. Even though we do not understand God’s providence, we trust in Him who works out all things for the good of those who love him and are called according to his purpose.
Funeral services will be held at Oakwood Baptist Church in Chickamauga, Georgia on Monday, September 26 at 2 pm. Following a graveside service, there will be a reception at the Summer home at 6550 West Armuchee Road, Summerville, Georgia. The family will receive visitors at Wilson Funeral Home in LaFayette, Georgia on Sunday, September 25, from 4-6 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made either to the Highlands Presbyterian Church building fund or the Agape Puppets ministry.
