Dearest Friends,

"I have come home at last! This is my real country. I belong here. This is the land that I have been looking for all my life, though I never knew it til now…. Come further up , come further in""

The above is a quote from C. S. Lewis’ book "The Last Battle" . Today we worked in a very remote area in the district of Makwanpur . All day long , I thought about this quote. At 3 different shows, I watched children and some adults faces change as they discovered the call of the living God. As I began to introduce them to our Father , I first saw disbelief. Consider that they have so long known of gods who were demanding and selfish. The one true God is love. What a difference! Soon their disbelief was replaced by hope and some found joy today! You could see their faces change during the story as they heard about the land they had always been looking for, though they never knew it existed.

As we drove deeper and deeper into the middle of nowhere, I heard the Father calling me to come further up the mountain and come further in to the wilderness. At one point, the road was a river. Later, we crossed a river. Mostly, we climbed and climbed and climbed on really terrible dirt roads that were only one lane wide. Our driver and the young man who scheduled these shows doubted we could climb the last mountain to reach the children. Tik and I always knew we would get to them one way or the other.

The children were so poor that they were dressed in rags. Their shoes hardly ever fit if they had shoes. They were so dirty. Some never smiled no matter what we did. I cried tonight, but I had to stop so I could write this report and beg you to pray for them . Please pray! Ask the Father to pour out His spirit on these high and distant places. They are near to the Father’s heart.
