Dearest Friends,
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.
Psalm 119:105
I learned this Bible verse when I was a very little girl. I don’t ever remember a time when I did not own a Bible. However, people here do not often have that same memory. Many believing families will save for years and struggle to get the price of a 5 dollar Bible. What is 5 dollars to you and I? That is why at women’s conferences that I teach, we pass out Bibles. The beautiful picture above is from yesterday’s meeting. You can see our puppet director in the middle of the crowd with a beautiful smile. As always, the men came to check what I said and perhaps also out of curiosity. Things like this are not done for women.
It was a fantastic meeting! I especially loved their response to the story of Jesus calming the storm. I was telling them all about the storm, using many sound effects, and their faces looked like little children. When Jesus stood up in the boat and calmed the storm, the entire room began to clap wildly and cheer. It was amazing and so encouraging to see their joy! May we all have their joy for the miracles of Jesus!
Tomorrow , Saturday, is worship day in Nepal and we have work. Please cover all we do with prayer and ask the Lord to bless our time with every child that we meet. We are having a glorious adventure!
